Training course on renewable energy

In the end of 2010 and the beginning of 2011, 40-hour classroom and 20-hour e-learning training courses on renewable energy sources were organized in most of the project territories. The courses targeted employees from the Local and National Authorities and Energy Agencies, who are responsible for sustainable energy issues. The main topics were the different kind of renewables (wind, biomass, geothermal, solar, and hydro energy) and the legislation frameworks and financial mechanisms in this sphere. The result of the training will be elaboration of maps with potential of renewables on the selected territories. After their creation feasibility studies will be done and spread among potential investors. Trainees will be involved in collecting the data, which will be needed. So far the training course was conducted in five countries: Bulgaria, Hungary, Croatia, and Serbia.
