ENER-SUPPLY: 6th Steering Committee Meeting, Skopje, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia


The last Steering Committee Meeting of the ENER-SUPPLY project took place on 26th of January 2012 in Skopje, the capital of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. The main topic of the discussions during the meeting was the dissemination of the project's achievements. After almost 3 years the project is drawing to a close, but its results will be very useful for the future sustainable energy and energy efficiency planning. The following objectives have already been achieved:

  • Organization of two training courses on RES and energy efficiency;
  • Implementation of energy management system in all the territories involved;
  • Elaboration of maps with RES potentials in all the territories involved;
  • Preparation of feasibility studies for projects with high chances for implementation;
  • Promotion to investors.

These activities were carried out through direct linkage with the Local and Regional Authorities. The project contributed to the strengthening of the administration expertise in the energy field, which will result in a better planning and improvement of financial management of LRAs. The final conference of ENER-SUPPLY is foreseen to take place in March or April in Potenza, Italy.
