RES Training held in Korça, Albania


In the framework of ENER-SUPPLY Project activities in Albania, the RES Training was held in Korça on 23rd January 2012. The venue of this training was the premises of Grand Hotel Palace in Korça city.

The main topics covered by the training were the different kinds of renewable energy sources (hydro, wind, geothermal, biomass, and solar energy) and the RES contribution to the national energy demand as per the Albanian National Strategy of Energy. The training aimed to support the local authorities in order to promote the use of RES in their territory.

The total number of participants was 14 persons, mainly coming from the Municipality of Korça, two from local Construction Companies, one from an Architect Studio and one from the Transmission System Operator - Zemblak Substation. The lecturers of this training were Dr. Eng. Besim Islami (Energy Consultant) and Dr. Eng. Edmond Hido (from Albania-EU Energy Efficiency Centre).
