Contribution of ENER SUPPLY to UNESCO Regional Summer School Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Governance

UNESCO Regional Summer School on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Governance will be held from 23 August to 02 September 2011 in Fojnica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The organizers of the Summer Schools are UNESCO Venice office, GIZ and REIC.
The Summer School has been featured to link natural sciences with social sciences, considering also the involvement of cultural and ethical dimensions related to energy and sustainable development. The summer school aims at deepening and expanding sectoral knowledge though multidisciplinary approach offering comprehensive and innovative methods of work and approaches in solving of obstacles in deployment of RES and EE improvements.
Few more events will be held in Fojnica in parallel to the Summer School. Steering Committee meeting of ENER SUPPLY will be held on 31 August. Two more events of ENER SUPPLY will be held in parallel to the Summer School:
• Workshop “EU fund and financial mechanism for investments in energy” on 30 August and
• Local energy day on 01 September.
Several experts engaged in ENER SUPPLY will be speakers on the Summer School. They will present main interim results of the Project.
Apart of ENER SUPPLY, annual meeting of Department for Renewables of Chamber of Commerce of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held as well as GIZ ORF-EE Team Meeting.

Target groups
The multidisciplinary programme is addressed to young professionals and university master/PhD candidates students, possibly two, from the following countries in South-East Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as well as Kosovo territory. The organizers will cover local transportation and full board accommodation costs for selected participants (20). Official language of the school is English.
